Exosomatic Memory Island — Out November 14

6TH AUGUST 2025

Exosomatic Memory Island draws its essence from the evocation of a place where memory intertwines with imagination — an island suspended between dream and reality. Inspired by the unique beauty of Mauritius, this album was composed between October 2024 and April 2025, born from moments of listening, observing, and silence. Each track is a breath, a fragment of a soundscape both familiar and mysterious.

Eleven pieces make up this musical journey, each carrying the name of a stopover, a memory, an emotion captured along a beach, in a forest, or beneath a sky heavy with distant horizons. From the title track Exosomatic Memory Island to Daruty Forest, through AustralEchoes of a Silent Earth, and Contemplate the Tropicbirds in the Sky, the album unfolds an atmosphere both organic and ethereal, where nature meets melancholy, and electronics blend with the sounds of the living world.

Mauritius, with its turquoise lagoons, dense forests, endless sunsets, and tropicbirds silently gliding through the sky, becomes the central character of this sonic story. But beyond a simple backdrop, it is the secret soul of this land — its mysteries and silences — that take shape in music.

From the opening with Exosomatic Memory Island, the listener is invited to enter a space where memories externalize, floating outside the body like light shells carrying echoes. Then, the dense forest of Daruty Forest offers a deep, dark refuge. Austral unfolds vast, wild spaces, while Echoes of a Silent Earth recalls the fragility of forgotten places, lands that whisper their stories to those willing to listen.

Each track acts as a window onto an intimate map, a narrative where music becomes the language of the deepest emotions. Where the Sun Rest evokes the moment when day softly fades, giving way to night, dreams, and contemplation. Time Has Gone explores the relentless passage of time, absence, and the slowly fading memory.

The pieces Sorrowethal and Tell dive into melancholy and the need to transmit, to express what often remains unspoken — the bittersweet pain that lives in our most precious memories.

The album concludes with two powerful homages: Last Dodo, a reminder of the ephemeral through the symbol of this extinct bird, and Mauritius, an ode to the magical island that has nourished imagination and creation.

Exosomatic Memory Island is a bridge between what is tangible and what fades away, between individual and collective memory. It invites you to walk an ever-shifting, fragile island where each moment is a rediscovery, a quest of self through time and space.

This album doesn’t just tell a story; it offers an experience, a sensory immersion, a journey where sounds become landscapes and silences carry as much weight as notes.

I hope you will find as much pleasure listening to this album as I did creating it. May every listen invite you to lose yourself, to dream, to feel the waves of emotion flowing through Exosomatic Memory Island.
