A musical chapter in the making

12TH FEBRUARY 2025

Music is a journey, a territory where emotions, memories, and sensations intertwine. each project has been an exploration, a quest for sounds capable of expressing the inexpressible. After Light of Destruction and Out-of-body Experience, a new phase is opening up, and I am incredibly excited to announce that I am currently working on new compositions.

My next project is slowly taking shape, fueled by deep and contrasting inspirations. It follows a natural progression while seeking to explore new musical directions. The sonic universe I am shaping oscillates between melancholy and raw energy, between introspection and explosion. Each piece is a puzzle fragment, a part of the story I want to tell through music.

An instinctive and experimental creative process

Creating music is, above all, diving into the unknown. I often start with sonic textures, harmonies that resonate within me before structuring the tracks. Sometimes, a simple chord progression is enough to open a door to an entire world. Other times, random sounds spark inspiration—reverberation in an empty room, the wind rustling through trees, a voice distorted by an old tape recorder.

For this project, I want to push the boundaries of my sonic universe even further. I blend electronic and organic elements, exploring contrasts between ethereal synthesizers and gritty guitars, between atmospheric layers and percussive rhythms. The goal is to capture this feeling of inner exile, of memory existing outside the body—this sensation that our memories both escape us and shape us at the same time.

Inspirations and themes

The idea for this project came to me while reflecting on our relationship with memory. We increasingly entrust our memories to external mediums: photos, videos, recordings, texts... Our memories are no longer solely biological; they become exosomatic, stored outside ourselves. This evolution influences our perception of the past, identity, and reality itself.

A major source of inspiration for these new compositions was a stay on the island of Mauritius. This unique environment, a blend of preserved nature and historical memory, fueled my reflections on isolation, nostalgia, and how places imprint themselves onto our memories. There is an insular dimension to this project—a sensation of isolation, as if these memories formed an island where we are both prisoners and travelers.

Between melancholy and energy

If my previous works were already steeped in a certain melancholy, these new creations will push even further this blend of softness and brutality, of calm and chaos. I want to create tracks that envelop, transport, but can also surprise and even disturb at times. One of the challenges is balancing these different energies while maintaining the overall coherence of the project.

Some compositions begin in an almost meditative tranquility before exploding into a cathartic wall of sound. Others maintain an underlying tension, an instability that reflects the impression of fragile memories, ready to collapse or alter at any moment.

What's coming soon

I am still in the composition and experimentation phase, exploring different directions and refining every detail to bring these new creations to life. Soon, I will be able to share with you some fragments of this sonic journey, whether in the form of excerpts or glimpses into my creative process.
